A Seattle Seahawks player has been placed under arrest.

Richard Sherman, the ex-Seattle Seahawks cornerback, was apprehended in King County, Washington, on Saturday under suspicion of driving under the influence, as confirmed by the Washington State Patrol to CNN.

The Washington State Patrol pulled over Sherman for exceeding the speed limit, driving at 79 mph in a 60 mph zone around 2 a.m. in Bellevue, according to details from a first appearance document. A District Court judge subsequently determined probable cause for a DUI charge.

According to the document, Sherman informed authorities that he had consumed two margaritas when questioned about his alcohol intake. Additionally, he willingly consented to a voluntary test.

The document further mentions that Sherman’s eyes appeared bloodshot and watery, and there was a noticeable “odor of intoxicants.”

Following his arrest, Sherman was processed and booked at the King County Correctional Facility.

On Saturday, a King County District Court judge determined probable cause for DUI, and Sherman is scheduled for a court hearing on Monday to discuss terms of release, as stated by the King County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.

It’s unclear whether Sherman has legal representation as the King County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office couldn’t confirm it, and CNN’s attempts to contact his representatives have been unsuccessful.

Sherman’s bail amount hasn’t been established yet since the court hasn’t addressed the conditions of his release, according to the King County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
