Breaking News:The Steelers have inked a standout linebacker…
PITTSBURGH — While the start of training camp for the Pittsburgh Steelers is still a few months away, they’re already focused on bolstering their linebacker corps.
A month ago, the Steelers secured former Baltimore Raven Jeremiah Moon, although the move was deferred until after the Super Bowl. Although technically a free agent, the Steelers held exclusive rights to Moon. This allowed Moon the option to either sit out the 2024 season or sign a one-year contract worth $915,000 with Pittsburgh.
According to reports from Steelers Now and Steelers Depot, Moon opted for the latter. Moon’s journey began as an undrafted free agent in 2022 with Baltimore after a career at Florida marred by injuries. He participated in several preseason games before being designated to the practice squad.
Following an entire rookie season spent on the practice squad, Moon finally saw his NFL debut in 2023. He appeared in eight games and earned a start in Week 4 against the Cleveland Browns.
During this time, he accumulated 12 tackles, one for a loss, and recovered two fumbles. Moon is set to join the Steelers for training camp, aiming to secure a spot on the team during the summer. For the latest news, exclusive interviews, film breakdowns, and more, be sure to bookmark All Steelers!
