Garafolo reports: that the Patriots have applied the transition tag to…

The New England Patriots revealed today that they are employing the transition tag designation to prolong their control over safety Kyle Dugger. This tag entails a one-year tender offer equivalent to the average of the top 10 salaries in the safety position.

Patriots Head Coach Jerod Mayo commented, “Kyle is a skilled player with a commendable work ethic, showing continuous improvement since joining our team in 2020. We prioritize players with strong character and have opted to use the transition designation to allow both parties more time to negotiate a long-term agreement, which is our aim with Kyle.”
