Russell Wilson is reportedly consider joining the Las Vegas Raiders.

A recent report suggests that some close to Russell Wilson are encouraging him to consider joining the Las Vegas Raiders this offseason. The Raiders have several key positions to address, with quarterback being a top priority. While the team boasts talented players, a weak quarterback position could hinder their prospects for success in 2024.

Speculation is rife about how the Raiders will address their quarterback needs, with using their top pick in the upcoming NFL Draft on a promising quarterback prospect being a popular choice. Another option gaining traction is the potential acquisition of Russell Wilson, who is expected to be released by the Denver Broncos to avoid a hefty contract guarantee in 2025. Despite recent struggles, Wilson is viewed as a valuable asset and is meeting with teams ahead of his impending free agency.

In the 2023 season, Wilson posted a 7-8 record with 3,070 passing yards, 26 touchdowns, 8 interceptions, and a 98.0 passer rating.

Wilson is reportedly not interested in being a “bridge” quarterback and wants his next team to fully commit to him. Despite being paid $39 million by the Broncos this season, he is expected to sign a more team-friendly contract with his next team. Given this, Wilson wants assurance that his next organization has a long-term plan for him, especially considering the significant discount he is offering.
