Reports says The New England Patriots are working on completing a $60 million deal for a wide receiver who is considered to be the best fit.

Missing out on Calvin Ridley, who chose the Tennessee Titans, and failing to secure a trade for Keenan Allen, who was traded to the Chicago Bears, have left the Patriots in need of solutions at receiver.

Looking ahead to the NFL draft for long-term solutions, the Patriots also require immediate help, especially in March, to revitalize their receiving corps. Bleacher Report suggests that Mike Williams of the Los Angeles Chargers, who has two 1,000-yard receiving seasons, could be a low-risk, high-reward option for the Patriots.

Williams, who is recovering from a torn ACL, was released by the Chargers due to salary cap constraints. Despite turning 30, Williams could be an impactful addition, especially for a team like the Patriots that needs a short-term boost at receiver.
