Breaking News:The Falcons spent big to secure a deal with 27 years old defensive lineman.
The Falcons have inked a deal with defensive lineman Kentavius Street, as announced by the organization on Monday. Street rejoins the Falcons after spending the latter part of the season in Atlanta. He was acquired via a trade with the Philadelphia Eagles in October 2023 following Grady Jarrett’s season-ending knee injury.
The Falcons received Street and a 2025 seventh-round pick, sending a 2024 sixth-round pick to the Eagles. This signing is the Falcons’ first defensive move since the start of free agency. Street played five games for the Falcons in 2023, starting all five, and recorded 14 combined tackles (four for a loss), one pass deflection, one fumble recovery, and one sack.
Before joining Atlanta, Street played eight games for the Eagles, with one start. Street was drafted by the San Francisco 49ers in the fourth round of the 2018 NFL Draft but missed his rookie year due to an ACL tear. He saw significant playing time in 2020 and 2021 with the 49ers, recording three sacks in his final year with the team.
Street played all 17 games for the New Orleans Saints in 2022, recording 3.5 sacks, before joining the Eagles on a one-year deal in 2023. Street’s 2023 season with the Falcons was cut short by a pectoral injury in early December, leading to him being placed on injured reserve with four games left in the season.
