JC Latham comments on Kadyn Proctor’s decision to return to Alabama from Iowa ‘Grass isn’t always greener’

Offensive tackle Kadyn Proctor is said to be returning to Alabama football after a short stint with Iowa. He initially entered the transfer portal after the 2023 season, opting to play for his home state Hawkeyes. However, he recently announced his plan to re-enter the portal and return to Alabama.

JC Latham, a former Alabama right tackle, confirmed the news, emphasizing Alabama’s status as the standard in college football and implying that the allure of other programs may not always live up to expectations.

Proctor had a challenging start as a true freshman at Alabama but showed significant improvement throughout the season, earning him freshman all-SEC honors. Despite his decision to transfer, Latham praised Proctor’s growth as a player during his time in Tuscaloosa.

Proctor is not eligible to re-enter the transfer portal until April 15 but will be immediately eligible upon his return to Alabama.
