Breaking News: Prosecutors Jackson County, Missouri, have pressed charges against a Kansas City star for reportedly embezzling $45,000 from the Miami Dolphins.

A Kansas City, Missouri man faces charges of theft for allegedly stealing $45,000 worth of equipment from the Miami Dolphins. The Dolphins reported that an individual broke into a box truck on January 14 and stole media and player equipment.

The theft was discovered the day after the Dolphins’ loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in the Wild Card round of the NFL playoffs.

Joseph Brown, Sr. has been charged with a Class C felony by Jackson County, Missouri prosecutors. The stolen items included cold weather gear, game film, media equipment, pads, gloves, and shoes, totaling $46,376 in value. Surveillance video helped identify a Ford F-150 truck used in the theft.

Brown has been under surveillance since October for possible involvement in other vehicle and trailer thefts in Kansas City and was previously convicted of stealing in 2021.
