The pro day was bustling with activity as players engaged in various events such as the vertical jump, 40-yard dash, and agility drills, with many also participating in position-specific drills. McKinstry, who missed the NFL combine due to a foot injury, impressed with a 4.47 40-yard dash time. Despite an upcoming surgery, he is expected to be fully ready for training camp.

Expressing his gratitude for his roots in Pinson, McKinstry said, “Me going to Pinson, it just means a lot, man… just happy to be a product from that community, just being able to show what I got and show that people from Birmingham/Pinson can do whatever they want to do.”

As the NFL Draft approaches on April 25 in Detroit, a new group of former Alabama players are poised to hear their names called. For offensive lineman JC Latham, this opportunity represents a dream fulfilled, stating, “It’s a dream come true… Next time I suit up will be a team. That’s a really big deal.”
