The Vikings sign two additional defensive players in free agency.
More new faces are arriving at the Twin Cities Orthopedics Performance Center, as the Minnesota Vikings have added two more defensive players. The team has reached agreements with edge defender Jihad Ward and linebacker Kamu Grugier-Hill.
While the financial details of the deals have not been disclosed, they are likely one-year contracts. Grugier-Hill entered the league in 2016 as a sixth-round pick for the New England Patriots from Eastern Illinois. After being waived by the Patriots, he joined the Philadelphia Eagles, where he spent four seasons, including winning a Super Bowl.
He later played for the Miami Dolphins in 2020 under current Vikings’ defensive coordinator Brian Flores. Grugier-Hill then played for the Houston Texans before joining the Arizona Cardinals and the Carolina Panthers for the 2022 season.
