The New England Patriots have been active in player movements during the 2024 offseason, signing 12 players and bringing back some familiar faces. However, they have also lost several players on both offense and defense. Despite their changes, the Patriots should not be looking to replicate their past season, which featured one of the league’s worst offenses. Some former Patriots who have left for other teams may find that their new situations are not as favorable as they had hoped.
One player who may struggle in 2024 is Mac Jones, who has joined the Jacksonville Jaguars. Jones, a former first-round pick, faces a challenging situation as he is likely to remain behind Trevor Lawrence on the depth chart. While a change of scenery and better coaching could benefit Jones, it may be tough for him to significantly improve his value in the upcoming season.
