After suffering a season-ending injury and undergoing shoulder surgery last year, Cleveland Browns fans are eager to know if Deshaun Watson will be fit to start the upcoming season.
To address these concerns, Watson recently appeared on Lockerverse via YouTube to reassure fans about his progress.
During the interview, Watson expressed optimism about his recovery, stating, “The situation is good. We’re in a great spot. Right where we need to be … everything’s been going pretty smooth.”
He further elaborated that he feels positive about his progress and that his medical team, including doctors and physical therapists, are pleased with his recovery trajectory.
A notable development is Watson’s return to throwing footballs, marking a significant milestone in his rehabilitation journey.
Head coach Kevin Stefanski also provided encouraging updates during a recent coaches’ meeting, confirming Watson’s return to throwing and noting the smooth progress.
Watson himself confirmed the success of his recent throwing session, emphasizing that his shoulder feels good. However, he acknowledged that he is still in the early stages of rehabilitation and will need to proceed with caution.
While Watson’s recovery is progressing well, he cautioned that it will take time before he can resume full-throttle throwing activities such as deep passes during scrimmages.
Nevertheless, the fact that Watson has resumed throwing and that his recovery is proceeding smoothly is an optimistic sign that he will be ready for the start of the season.
