Breaking News Defensive End for the Washington Commanders, Signs with Atlanta Falcons for 2024 NFL Season
James Smith-Williams, formerly a defensive end for the Washington Commanders, is set to kick off his 2024 NFL campaign with the Atlanta Falcons.
Drafted in the 7th round as the 229th pick by the Washington Commanders in the 2020 NFL Draft, the former North Carolina State Wolfpack player spent four seasons with the Commanders before joining the Falcons on a one-year deal.

During his tenure with the Commanders, Smith-Williams participated in 55 games, tallying seven sacks and 31 quarterback hits. However, injuries impacted his performance in the last season, limiting his involvement to 13 games where he recorded 22 tackles, one sack, two tackles for loss, and eight quarterback hits. Throughout his time with the Commanders, he started 27 games.
