Jim Harbaugh Implemented a Significant Change in the Los Angeles Chargers’ Locker Room.

The newly appointed head coach, Jim Harbaugh, has introduced a positive change to the Los Angeles Chargers’ locker room. Harbaugh, returning to the NFL after achieving a national title with the Michigan Wolverines, is already making impactful changes to the Chargers’ culture and locker room environment.

Jim Harbaugh Motivating Los Angeles Chargers Players

According to Dan Wolkenstein of the LA Football Network, Jim Harbaugh has implemented two interesting changes in the Los Angeles Chargers’ locker room. Firstly, he has reorganized the players’ lockers to be in numerical order. Secondly, he has placed each player’s recruiting level out of high school under their nameplate. This move is particularly intriguing, as it means players will see their high school recruitment level every day at their locker.

Since the Chargers have only a few players who were highly recruited out of high school, most players will receive daily motivation from seeing how they were underestimated coming out of high school. The team has only two five-star recruits out of high school: star safety Derwin James and offensive lineman Foster Sarell. Most players will see that they were two or three-star recruits out of high school.

Even Justin Herbert was not a five-star recruit out of high school. While Harbaugh achieved success at Michigan with many highly recruited players, he is also known for getting the best out of players who received little recruitment attention. Despite the positive impact of this new locker room strategy, the team still needs more top players.

With the loss of Keenan Allen and other star contributors this off-season, the Chargers are looking to add more playmakers. Holding the No. 5 overall pick in the NFL Draft, they have the opportunity to select the best receiver in the draft. Marvin Harrison Jr. and Malik Nabers are both highly regarded as top weapons in this year’s draft, and the Chargers should have their choice between the two.
