The Los Angeles Rams’ performance in 2023 surpassed many expectations, with their offense delivering standout statistics. Now, heading into the 2024 season with an even stronger roster, recent projections paint a much brighter picture for the Rams this upcoming fall.
In 2023, the Rams boasted one of the NFL’s top offenses, with key players consistently ranking among the league leaders in various stats. Kyren Williams impressed with the third-highest rushing yards (1,144) and led in rushing yards per game (95.3), while rookie sensation Puka Nacua showcased his talent with the fourth-most receiving yards (1,486), fifth-most first downs (68) among wide receivers, and tied for the fourth-most big plays (25).

Optimism abounds for the Rams’ offensive prowess in 2024. With a healthy Matthew Stafford, who missed two games last season, and hopes that Cooper Kupp has overcome his injury concerns, along with an improved offensive line, expectations are high.
ESPN NFL analyst Mike Clay’s statistical projections for the upcoming season paint a rosy picture for the Rams’ offense. Despite Stafford’s potential absence for two games, Clay predicts he’ll just surpass the 4,000-yard mark with 23 touchdowns and 12 interceptions. In those two games, Jimmy Garoppolo is expected to step in.
Despite the addition of running back Blake Corum, Clay’s forecast suggests minimal impact on Williams’ production, with the running back projected to amass 1,127 yards and 12 touchdowns. Corum is expected to contribute 602 scrimmage yards and 4 total touchdowns.
With projections indicating over 1,700 rushing yards, the Rams’ aerial attack is also expected to thrive. Nacua is anticipated to have another Pro Bowl-worthy season, while a healthy Kupp is poised to surpass the 1,000-yard mark for the first time since 2021.
Clay’s projections hint at a breakout year for wide receiver DeMarcus Robinson, who is forecasted to significantly exceed his previous career-high in receiving yards.
In terms of kicking, significant improvement is anticipated, with Joshua Karty expected to bolster the Rams’ special teams with higher field-goal and extra-point conversion rates.
