There is a wealth of veteran talent on the New Orleans Saints. Listing them all would take a long time. However, linebacker Demario Davis is at the top of that list. Still one of the best linebackers in football, he leads with emotion both on and off the field.
Davis is devoted to both his team and his craft. No one could ever question that. Regarding his participation at OTAs, he made a really bold statement on Tuesday.
Davis didn’t say anything absurd. He was quite enthusiastic about getting ready, and it’s obvious he’s taking it seriously. The standout linebacker is obviously upset about certain other important players who are now missing time.
While not every player on the Chiefs is taking part, their participation rate is among the highest in the NFL. Even when it’s optional, the healthiest guys are turning up.
OTAs aren’t necessary. Nevertheless, the Saints are fighting to regain relevance in the NFC. Many players are fed up with having to give up the NFC South, which they dominated for the majority of the 2010s.
Although it is difficult to pinpoint exactly which players Davis is criticizing, some inferences may be made. Ultimately, all he wants is for New Orleans to succeed. His passion will be appreciated by his fans.
Davis mentioned in his Tuesday interview that he gets along well with Saints quarterback Derek Carr.
He values Carr’s dependable, diligent labor, and the two of them have bonded as the team’s leaders.
All things considered, Davis is focused on getting the Saints back to the postseason in 2024. It seems worthwhile to him, even if it means hurting someone’s feelings in the process. That’s not at all his fault, in my opinion.
