Notre Dame’s basketball team had a challenging 2023-24 season, but head coach Micah Shrewsberry believes he started shifting the culture positively toward the end. One promising sign is their recent recruiting success, highlighted by their pursuit of 2025 4-star forward Trent Sisley.
Sisley, a highly coveted prospect, has Notre Dame in his top choices. Shrewsberry and his team now aim to secure his commitment, building on their consistent communication and efforts.
“Since Coach Shrewsberry took over, he’s been in constant contact with me and my family,” Sisley shared with Joe Tipton. “He visited our high school twice, which means a lot to us.”
Sisley plans to take official visits to Purdue, Indiana, Michigan State, and Notre Dame this fall. The Irish face competition, particularly from in-state rivals, but they hope their improving program can sway Sisley towards South Bend.
Michigan State will be his final visit on October 12, with a decision expected shortly after. Notre Dame aims to capitalize on their momentum to secure Sisley’s commitment before the fall concludes.
