Dallas Cowboys Trade CeeDee Lamb to Green Bay Packers for 2 Promising Wide Receivers in Bold.

CeeDee Lamb and the Dallas Cowboys are engaged in a tense standoff. With no new contract offer from Dallas, Lamb faces a significant fine for holding out.

Lamb understands his market value, especially after Justin Jefferson’s $140 million deal with the Minnesota Vikings, but the Cowboys are reluctant to pay such high salaries, as evidenced by their handling of Dak Prescott’s contract.

This has sparked trade speculation, and Bleacher Report’s Brad Gagnon has proposed four potential trades if Dallas opts against an extension. Notably, one idea involves sending Lamb to the Pittsburgh Steelers for George Pickens and a second-round pick. However, a more intriguing proposal suggests trading Lamb to the Green Bay Packers for a couple of wide receivers and a second-round pick.

In his article, Gagnon suggests Green Bay could offer Jayden Reed, a second-round pick, and either Romeo Doubs or Christian Watson. Initially, this trade seems unlikely for the Cowboys, but upon further consideration, it might just be feasible.

While Dallas would lose their biggest star, they could gain a revamped receiving corps.

The Cowboys would acquire an excellent slot receiver in Reed, who was pivotal for Green Bay in 2023 with 64 receptions for 793 yards and eight touchdowns. Watson and Doubs also offer significant potential. Watson, despite durability issues, has shown explosive capability with 69 receptions for 1,033 yards and 12 touchdowns in 23 games. Notably, he had a standout game against the Cowboys with 107 yards and three touchdowns from four receptions. Doubs, on the other hand, has been more reliable with 674 yards and eight touchdowns from 59 receptions last season. If consistency is a priority, Doubs would be the preferable choice.

Additionally, the second-round pick in 2025 would aid in rebuilding the roster. This could be a strategic move if Lamb and the Cowboys cannot reach an agreement.
