CBS Sports highlighted the primary concerns for the 20 NFL teams expected to compete for playoff spots this season, identifying Cincinnati as facing the most significant obstacle: Joe Burrow’s recurring health issues.
The Bengals’ standout player has completed only two full seasons out of four in the NFL.
“While it’s an obvious point, it remains a fact: Burrow performs at an MVP level when fully fit,” Cody Benjamin noted. “However, he has also missed considerable time due to injuries in two of his four NFL seasons. Despite Cincinnati’s efforts to bolster its offensive line with additions like Trent Brown at right tackle, Burrow’s ability to stay healthy is crucial.
The Bengals’ coaching staff and Burrow himself are actively managing his workload this offseason to ensure he’s ready for a strong start in Week 1.
