5-Star Cornerback Commits to Alabama, Boosting 2025 Recruiting Class

Alabama continued its impressive recruiting streak this summer by securing top cornerback Dijon Lee for its 2025 class on Friday.

Lee stands out as one of the highest-ranked commitments for Alabama this cycle, possibly the highest depending on the recruiting service. According to 247Sports’ composite rankings, he is the first 5-star recruit to commit to the Crimson Tide in this cycle.

A Southern California native, Lee boasts exceptional size for a cornerback at 6-foot-4 and 190 pounds, making him one of the tallest corners in the country. He chose Alabama over offers from Georgia, Texas, Washington, and Texas A&M.

Lee is the 20th commitment for Alabama’s 2025 class, and the 10th to join in June alone. Despite being new to the recruiting scene, head coach Kalen DeBoer, general manager Courtney Morgan, and the rest of the Alabama staff have quickly made a significant impact.

The momentum in Alabama’s recruiting is stronger than many anticipated after Nick Saban’s retirement. DeBoer and his team have maintained a high level of success in attracting top talent.

Alabama’s 2025 class is ranked as high as No. 2 nationally, depending on the recruiting service, and the team is still in contention for several other elite recruits, including 5-star offensive lineman Ty Haywood, 5-star wide receivers Caleb Cunningham and Kaliq Lockett, and 4-star running back Akylin Dear.

With the current momentum, there is a strong possibility that DeBoer could lead Alabama to the No. 1 recruiting class in his first full cycle.
