BREAKING NEWS:The Los Angeles Chargers have secured two spots on the preseason All-Rookie Team.

To reinforce the impressive draft that the Los Angeles Chargers put together in April, two of their players have been named to NFL.com’s preseason All-Rookie Team.

Chad Reuter announced his All-Rookie Team for the upcoming 2024 season, including the Chargers’ first-round and third-round picks. On offense, No. 5 overall pick Joe Alt was selected for the offensive line, while former Michigan linebacker Junior Colson, poised to make a significant impact as a rookie, was chosen for the defensive team.

Both Alt and Colson were highly regarded as top value picks in this draft class, although many fans believe second-round pick Ladd McConkey also deserved a spot on the list.

In defense of McConkey, this draft class was particularly strong in wide receivers. Reuter opted for Marvin Harrison Jr. of the Arizona Cardinals and Xavier Worthy of the Kansas City Chiefs as his wide receiver choices.

It will be interesting to see how this list holds up by the end of the season. The Chargers did not have anyone on NFL.com’s All-Rookie Team following the 2023 season, though Tuli Tuipolotu had a case to be included.

In Jim Harbaugh’s first year as head coach, the Chargers might end up with multiple players on the All-Rookie Team by the end of 2024.
