“Colts Defensive Lineman Arrested Following Discovery of Deceased Son”

Former Indianapolis Colts defensive lineman Daniel Muir and his wife, Kristen Muir, were arrested on Wednesday following the discovery of their 14-year-old son, who had been reported missing two weeks earlier, found at their residence in Logansport, Indiana. The arrests were made by Indiana State Police who had executed a search warrant. Daniel Muir is facing charges of domestic battery and obstruction of justice, while Kristen Muir is charged with obstruction of justice.

According to Indiana State Police Sgt. Steven Glass, their son, Bryson Muir, is now safe and in the custody of the Cass County Department of Child Services. The arrest came after allegations of abuse were reported by Bryson’s grandmother, Cheryl Wright, who had noticed injuries on Bryson and alerted the authorities.

Initially, the Muirs had agreed to meet with Indiana State Police to hand over Bryson, but they withdrew from the arrangement shortly before the scheduled meeting, which triggered a statewide Silver Alert. The family was eventually located during a peaceful operation involving multiple law enforcement units.

The property where these events unfolded is associated with a religious group called Straitway Truth Ministry, led by Charles Dowell, known as “Straitway Goshen.” Daniel Muir purchased the property in 2020 and is actively involved in its leadership.

The case has drawn significant attention due to Muir’s previous career as a professional football player with the Indianapolis Colts, adding a layer of public interest and scrutiny to the unfolding legal proceedings.Ex-Colts player Daniel Muir ARRESTED with his wife as missing son found 'safe and well' by police in morning raid | Daily Mail Online
