Breaking News: “Chicago Bears Secure Four-Year, $22.7 Million Fully Guaranteed Rookie Deal”

The Chicago Bears and Rome Odunze have finalized a four-year contract worth $22.7 million, fully guaranteed, with a fifth-year option, and a $13.3 million signing bonus. Odunze signed his rookie deal on the day rookies were to report to Halas Hall, allowing him to participate in the team’s first practice on July 20th.

During his four seasons at Washington, Odunze accumulated 214 receptions for 3,272 yards and 24 touchdowns, along with 10 rushes for 40 yards and two touchdowns.

As the No. 9 pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, he will join a strong Bears wide receiver lineup that includes veterans DJ Moore and Keenan Allen. Despite being a rookie, Odunze has set ambitious goals for his first NFL season, aiming to break records like those of Puka Nacua and Brandon Marshall.

He expressed his desire to make a significant impact and leave a positive mark on the Bears organization.

With Odunze now officially signed, attention shifts to his rookie teammate, quarterback Caleb Williams, who has yet to sign his contract.
