The Cleveland Browns’ defensive line has been rocked by troubling news as rookie defensive tackle Mike Hall was arrested for domestic violence early Tuesday morning. Although Hall was released from jail the same day and resumed practice on Wednesday, his legal troubles could potentially sideline him for part of the upcoming season.

Hall’s arrest adds to the Browns’ defensive concerns, particularly given the current state of their roster. Starter Dalvin Tomlinson has been sidelined for much of training camp due to an injury, raising questions about his availability for Week One. The Browns’ defensive line, already facing challenges, could be further strained by Hall’s situation.

In light of these developments, the Browns are reportedly considering adding a veteran defensive tackle to bolster their depth. Teair Tart, recently released by the Miami Dolphins, has emerged as a potential target. Tart, who began his career with the Tennessee Titans in 2020 and made 36 starts over four seasons, was released mid-season last year but played a role in the Houston Texans’ playoff run.

Tart’s experience and ability to contribute from day one make him a viable option for the Browns. His addition would provide a valuable presence on the defensive line, especially if Hall faces a suspension or is otherwise unavailable. Given the physical demands of the defensive tackle position, Tart’s ability to offer relief for the team’s other linemen would be a significant asset.

As the Browns navigate these turbulent times, securing a veteran like Tart could be crucial for maintaining stability on their defensive front and ensuring they are prepared for the challenges of the upcoming season.
