Breaking News: Heartbreak for Bills as Linebacker Faces Indefinite Absence Due to Torn Biceps.
Buffalo Bills linebacker Matt Milano is set to undergo surgery to repair a torn biceps and will be out indefinitely, head coach Sean McDermott confirmed on Thursday.
The 2022 All-Pro and Pro Bowl player suffered the injury during a tackling drill in Tuesday’s practice.Matt Milano, Bills who missed 12 games last season due to a fractured right leg sustained in Week 5, faces an uncertain recovery, with a possible return in December being the best-case scenario.
Despite the setback, McDermott expressed confidence in Milano’s resilience, noting the strong support from his family, teammates, and the organization.
Milano, 30, has accumulated 488 tackles, 10.5 sacks, 10 interceptions, and nine fumble recoveries in his 90-game (74 starts) career since being drafted by Buffalo in the fifth round in 2017. He recently signed a two-year, $28.3 million extension in March 2023 and has a cap hit of $12.4 million for 2024.
Second-year linebacker Dorian Williams, a 2023 third-round pick who recorded 40 tackles and two quarterback hits as a rookie, is expected to step up in Milano’s absence.
