Breaking News: Jordan Love’s Injury Uncertainty Creates Dark Cloud as Practice Ends
Earlier this week, Packers head coach Matt LaFleur informed reporters that quarterback Jordan Love, along with the rest of the starters, will participate in the team’s preseason opener against the Cleveland Browns.
For Love and the first-team players, Saturday’s game presents a valuable chance to shake off any rust and apply the skills developed during training camp against another team.
Jordan Love is stretching out his left leg after the last team period.
Packers VP of player heath and performance Bryan Engel looked at Love who appears to be OK. Love jogged to the huddle at the end of practice.

However, the Packers experienced a minor scare at Thursday’s practice involving their star quarterback. According to ESPN’s Rob Demovsky, Love extended his left leg following the final team period and was examined by Packers VP of Health and Performance Bryan Engel. Fortunately, Demovsky reported that Love jogged to the huddle and appeared to be fine as practice concluded.
Given this recent development, it will be intriguing to see how Love and the starting lineup perform on Saturday. While some teams might have their starters play a full quarter, others may opt for just a series or two.
LaFleur did not specify the exact duration for which the starters would play, but if Love performs well in his initial series, he might have an early exit. The Packers are keen to avoid any injuries to Love after his significant contract extension and would prefer to see Sean Clifford and rookie Michael Pratt compete for the backup quarterback position.
