Breaking News: Miami Dolphins Secure Steelers Running Back

The Miami Dolphins have largely solidified their offense and boast a roster of top speedsters.

With the regular season just a few weeks away and final roster cuts imminent, the team has made a significant move.

Per Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network, Miami has signed former Pittsburgh Steelers running back Anthony McFarland Jr.

The 26-year-old entered the NFL as a fourth-round draft pick and has appeared in 17 games, including last season with the Steelers.

Over his NFL career, McFarland has accumulated 146 rushing yards on 42 attempts and 87 receiving yards on 11 catches. His rookie year in 2020 showed promise, with 113 rushing yards and 54 receiving yards on 6 catches.

Securing a spot on the roster won’t be easy for him. The Dolphins already have established starters in Raheem Mostert and De’Von Achane, and they are reportedly high on another speedster, Jaylen Wright.

Given the Dolphins’ dynamic offense and high standards, competition will be fierce. However, unexpected outcomes are not uncommon in the NFL, and coach Mike McDaniel is aware that his job could be on the line if the team struggles against strong opponents.
