The Las Vegas Raiders are making roster adjustments as they inch closer to the August 27 deadline, when teams must cut down from 90 to 53 players. The Raiders, prioritizing defensive depth, announced on August 21 that they have waived rookie wide receiver Jeff Foreman to make room for linebacker DaShaun White.
Foreman, signed as an undrafted free agent out of Arkansas State, faced a tough battle to secure a roster spot in a crowded receiver group. Injuries and an underwhelming preseason showing—where he failed to record a catch in two games—made him a longshot to make the final 53-man squad. However, Foreman may still have a future with the Raiders if he lands on their practice squad after final cuts.
On the other hand, White, who joins the Raiders’ defense, will have an opportunity to make his mark as Las Vegas seeks depth in the linebacker position.

Tre Tucker Impressing as Raiders Preseason Progresses
One bright spot in the Raiders’ receiving corps is second-year wideout Tre Tucker. Known for his speed, Tucker struggled with ball security in his rookie season but has made noticeable improvements during the preseason. Against the Dallas Cowboys, he posted three catches for 66 yards, catching the attention of star wide receiver Davante Adams.
Adams has taken on a mentorship role with Tucker, and the young receiver is soaking up advice from one of the game’s top route runners.
“To watch the evolution of him and know his mentality, his aim going out there, he’s a very driven young player,” Adams said of Tucker. “I feel like I got a son on the team in the most brotherly way.”
Tucker, in turn, has credited his growing bond with Adams as a key factor in his development. He’s looking to show that he can be more than just a deep threat, working diligently to improve his route running and become a more complete receiver.
With the season fast approaching, Tucker hopes to capitalize on his hard work and carve out a significant role for himself in the Raiders’ offense. If he continues to develop, he could become a key contributor alongside Adams in the passing game.
As the Raiders prepare for the regular season, Tucker’s progress and White’s arrival will be storylines to watch, while players like Foreman will hope for another opportunity to prove their worth.
