Packers Receiver’s Week 1 Status Uncertain Following Surprising Injury
The Green Bay Packers are set to face the Philadelphia Eagles in São Paulo, Brazil, this Friday night.
As they prepare for their Week 1 matchup, the Packers might be without rookie running back
, who is recovering from a hamstring injury. Lloyd was upgraded to a limited participant on Wednesday after being absent from Tuesday’s practice.
In addition, the Packers added a new concern to their injury report on Wednesday. Second-year tight end Tucker Kraft was listed as limited with a back injury, which could impact their offensive strategy.
MarShawn Lloyd improved to limited in the estimated injury report, meanwhile Tucker Kraft added as limited with a back injury. Arron Mosby did not travel with the team due to a personal issue and Devin White is out for the Eagles. https://t.co/WJcnR1EkuW

Given that the Packers are traveling to Brazil and not holding practices, the injury reports are approximate. Nonetheless, Green Bay would prefer to have Kraft available for the Friday night game.
Kraft has had a challenging start to his second season. He was placed on the PUP list in July due to a torn pectoral muscle sustained during the offseason but was activated at the beginning of last month. Although he did not play in the preseason, Kraft showed promise during the latter part of training camp. In his rookie season of 2023, he recorded 31 receptions on 40 targets for 355 yards and two touchdowns.
The Packers are optimistic about Kraft’s participation on Friday, but if he is unable to play, they can rely on Luke Musgrave and Ben Sims as alternatives. Despite these uncertainties surrounding Kraft and Lloyd, Green Bay remains a 2.5-point underdog according to DraftKings Sportsbook.
