Titans Crucial Positive Injury Updates As They Begin Week 2

The Tennessee Titans faced a tough loss in Week 1, but they are positioned for a strong rebound as they prepare for their Week 2 home opener against the New York Jets on Sunday.

Following Wednesday’s practice, the Titans released an injury report showing that safety Jamal Adams (hip), offensive lineman Dillon Radunz (rib), and linebacker Otis Reese (concussion) were all full participants. Radunz had to leave in the third quarter of their 24-17 defeat to the Chicago Bears, while Adams and Reese missed the game but are expected to play against the Jets.

For the Jets, receiver Mike Williams (knee), defensive lineman Michael Clemons (tricep), and safety Ashtyn Davis (ankle) were also full participants in practice. Cornerbacks Michael Carter (ankle) and D.J. Reed (knee) were limited, and defensive lineman Javon Kinlaw (personal) did not participate.

Sunday will be a significant day for Adams, who will make his Titans debut against the team that drafted him with the sixth overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft. Adams has played 80 career regular-season games, recording 494 total tackles, 21.5 sacks, seven forced fumbles, four fumble recoveries, 36 pass breakups, four interceptions, and one touchdown. During his time with the Jets, he was selected to two Pro Bowls and named a First Team All-Pro once.

“I just want to get back out there and continue to be myself,” Adams said earlier this offseason. “The main thing is my teammates. Just prove it to them that I can be on the field with them again. Go out, and just compete.”

Reese, meanwhile, will make his season debut on Sunday after playing in seven games (three starts) for the Titans last year as an undrafted rookie, where he recorded 21 total tackles.
