Eagle WR Reveals Heart Breaking Injury Update
The Philadelphia Eagles aim to kick off their season with a 2-0 record at home during Monday Night Football. This week, a few players appeared on the injury report, but the biggest surprise was wide receiver AJ Brown, who was added on Friday.
Brown missed the game against the Falcons due to a hamstring injury sustained during Friday’s practice and was unable to participate in Saturday’s session. Reports suggest the injury may be more serious than initially believed.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter revealed that Brown informed Lisa Salters he expects to be sidelined for a couple of weeks because of the injury.
This news follows earlier expectations that he would return for Week 3. NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo noted that while the Eagles considered having him play, they opted not to push him, hoping he could be back for the next game. He added that Brown was not placed on injured reserve, indicating the team anticipates a brief absence.
Per @saltersl on the Monday Night Football broadcast, she spoke to AJ Brown about his hamstring injury and while “he does not think it’s too serious, he does expect to miss a couple of weeks.”
The injury occurred while running a route in practice on Friday.
