However, the team’s biggest issue is the quarterback position, with Daniel Jones continuing to struggle after six seasons. While a rookie quarterback could be the future, it’s unclear whether Belichick would want to take on a team that’s still in the early stages of rebuilding.
Russini suggests Belichick might be more inclined to join a team that’s closer to championship contention, rather than one in the midst of a major rebuild. The Dallas Cowboys, she notes, could be a prime fit for Belichick’s experience and leadership.
At this point, there’s no clear indication that Daboll’s job is at risk, but if the Giants’ losing streak continues, his future in New York could be uncertain—and Belichick could be a potential candidate to replace him.
