Matt LaFleur might be vying for the most bizarre quote of the year, but despite this, the Green Bay Packers remain a formidable team in Week 12. Unfortunately, Packers cornerback Jaire Alexander shared a heartbreaking update about his injury.
Alexander opened up about his injury, telling The Athletic in the locker room on Thursday, “I had a tear in my PCL.”
The injury occurred late in the Packers’ Week 8 victory over the Jaguars. Although Alexander managed to play 10 snaps in Week 11 against the Bears, he was forced to leave the game and did not return.
Despite his struggles, Alexander is determined to get back on the field. “I stayed here the whole bye week trying to get back and make an impact for the team,” he explained. “It was a game-time decision, and we didn’t know until minutes before the game whether I would play. I tried to give it a shot, but all I could manage was 10 plays before I felt something. PCL injuries don’t heal in just three weeks; it needed more time. After re-aggravating it, I’m now focused on getting my knee back to full strength.”
