Breaking News: Garrett Wilson Blasts Instagram After Jets’ Loss to LA Rams and Trade Rumors!
New York Jets wide receiver Garrett Wilson took to Instagram to respond to critics following his team’s 19-9 loss to the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday. Wilson, who recorded six receptions for 54 yards in the game, was only targeted three times in the first 55 minutes of play. The loss comes amid trade rumors, with speculation suggesting Wilson might request a trade in the offseason.
After the game, Wilson expressed his frustration to reporters, saying, “I just got to go out and put my best foot forward and hope things fall my way. I’d like to be involved, love to make an impact on the game, but people see it differently. That’s out of my control.”
On Instagram, Wilson vented further, posting a story in reference to a five-yard catch where he was forced backward. He wrote, “You think I’m tryna be cool with that 5 yard catch??? Absolutely not, I’m tryna take that to the crib. Turn it into an explosive.” He added, “If you mad about 2 yards just know that’s why we won’t get along.”
This comes after ESPN’s Rich Cimini speculated that Wilson might request a trade this offseason, based on sources close to the receiver. The Jets are currently 4-12 and have two games remaining in the regular season, against the Buffalo Bills and Miami Dolphins.
