The Dolphins have promoted offensive tackle Braeden Daniels from the Cowboys‘ practice squad to their active roster, the team announced on Wednesday. In a corresponding move, they placed Kendall Lamm on injured reserve.
Daniels joined the Cowboys’ practice squad on December 12 and has also been part of the practice squads for the Texans, Chargers, and Eagles this season. He has yet to play in a regular-season game. Drafted by Washington in the fourth round of 2023, Daniels spent his rookie season on injured reserve.
Lamm had been filling in as the Dolphins’ starting right tackle for the injured Austin Jackson, who is out for the season with a knee issue. Lamm has an undisclosed injury and missed the Week 15 game against the Texans due to a back problem but played the last two games without being on the injury report.
Lamm wraps up the season with 15 appearances and seven starts. Jackson Carman is expected to start at right tackle in Sunday’s game against the Jets.
