Futures contracts are essentially invitations to training camp, giving players a chance to compete for a spot on the team during the spring and summer.
Wilkerson, 28, initially joined the Titans as an undrafted free agent from Southeast Missouri State in 2020. After being waived following the preseason, he joined the Patriots‘ practice squad. He was later signed to a futures deal by New England but was waived and claimed by the Colts. In May 2023, Wilkerson signed with the Raiders, where he has alternated between the roster and practice squad over the past two years.
In 2024, he played in three games for the Raiders, recording two receptions for 18 yards and a touchdown.
