Rams WR Demarcus Robinson Faces Legal Trouble Ahead of Playoff Game
Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Demarcus Robinson has received unfavorable legal news as the team prepares for its playoff matchup. The Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office has charged Robinson with misdemeanor DUI following his arrest on November 25, according to TMZ. Robinson is also facing an infraction and will appear for arraignment in late February.
The 30-year-old receiver was pulled over on a Los Angeles freeway after allegedly speeding over 100 mph. Police noted signs of impairment, and Robinson refused a field sobriety test, leading to his arrest. The incident occurred just hours after the Rams’ loss to the Philadelphia Eagles.
Despite the legal issues, Robinson has been a key contributor for the Rams this season, playing in all 17 games and recording 31 receptions for 505 yards and seven touchdowns. The Rams, having won the NFC West, will face the Minnesota Vikings in the playoffs.
