Kyle Van Noy’s Career Resurgence Earns Pro Bowl Honors at 33
Baltimore Ravens linebacker Kyle Van Noy is heading to the Pro Bowl as an injury replacement for Steelers star T.J. Watt, the Ravens announced. At 33, Van Noy is coming off a career-best season, tallying an impressive 12.5 sacks, cementing his place as one of the league’s top pass rushers this year.
Van Noy’s journey to this achievement has been anything but conventional. Drafted in the second round by the Detroit Lions, he initially struggled to find his footing. However, a pivotal trade to the New England Patriots in 2016 transformed his career. Van Noy became a critical piece of the Patriots’ defense, helping the team secure Super Bowl championships in 2016 and 2018.
In 2020, Van Noy signed with the Miami Dolphins in free agency, but after one season, he returned to New England for a brief stint in 2021. The versatile linebacker then joined the Los Angeles Chargers for the 2022 season before landing with the Ravens.
Since arriving in Baltimore, Van Noy has delivered the best performances of his career. He recorded 9.0 sacks in 2023 before exploding with 12.5 sacks in 2024. Prior to his time in Baltimore, his career-high sack total was 6.5 in 2019, showcasing the tremendous growth he has achieved as a pass rusher.
From his championship-winning days with the Patriots to his recent resurgence with the Ravens, Kyle Van Noy’s journey is a testament to perseverance and adaptability. As he heads to the Pro Bowl, Ravens and Patriots fans alike can celebrate the continued success of this seasoned star.
