Brandon Graham is set to make his return to the Philadelphia Eagles‘ lineup on football’s biggest stage.
The 36-year-old former Michigan defensive end was activated from injured reserve on Saturday ahead of Sunday’s Super Bowl against the Kansas City Chiefs in New Orleans.
Graham, who holds the franchise record for most games played, tore his triceps in Week 12, an injury that initially seemed to threaten both his season and career. However, the 2010 first-round pick has been progressing well since the Eagles’ dominant 55-23 win over the Washington Commanders in the NFC Championship.

Although Graham was listed as questionable on the final injury report, he fully participated in practice on Friday, signaling he would be ready to play in Sunday’s game.
Earlier in the week, he expressed confidence he’d be activated for the Super Bowl, which could potentially be the final game of his career. The Detroit native had previously announced that 2024 would be his last season.
“I’m feeling good,” Graham said Monday during the NFL’s opening night. “I’m excited to be able to play in this game. Just enjoying the moment.”
While his role has diminished in recent years, the veteran remains a key contributor to the Eagles’ defense, both on and off the field. The six-time captain has played 46% of defensive snaps in 2024, recording 20 tackles and 3 ½ sacks. Over the course of his 206-game career, Graham has amassed 76 ½ sacks, including a career-high 11 in 2022.
He is one of only four Eagles players remaining from the team’s 2018 Super Bowl win, when Graham’s crucial strip-sack of Tom Brady helped seal a 41-33 victory over the Patriots.
