Four months following his release, a former Titans defender is questioning reports suggesting a lack of effort and attitude.

This week, former Tennessee Titans defensive lineman Teair Tart addressed assertions made several months ago regarding his work ethic and attitude. Tart, who joined the Titans as an undrafted free agent in 2020, served as a dependable rotational player for three seasons before being released in December following a victory against the Miami Dolphins. An ESPN report, citing a team source, suggested that Tart’s departure was due to concerns about his effort and attitude.

During a recent press conference, Tart, now with the Miami Dolphins, refuted these claims, stating, ‘I was in Tennessee for four years, and I never faced questions or issues regarding my work ethic until I requested a release. Coming from a Bill Belichick situation, where you’re expected to play and practice hard, I found it odd.’ He emphasized his competitive nature, willingness to display emotion on the field, and eagerness to compete.

Tart expressed excitement about his new opportunity with the Dolphins, highlighting his readiness to contribute to the organization and engage with fans. He explained, ‘Tennessee and Houston are in the past for me. I’m focused on Miami now and eager to embrace a new culture.’ Overall, Tart indicated that his decision to seek a change was motivated by a desire for a fresh start and a different environment.”
