Travis Kelce Scores Record-Breaking Contract as Taylor Swift Hits Billionaire Status

Travis Kelce isn’t sweating the small stuff. The Kansas City Chiefs’ standout tight end, 34, just inked a monumental $34 million contract extension with the NFL, solidifying his status as the highest-paid player in his position, according to NFL reporter Tom Pelissero.

“Kelce now has guaranteed money in 2024, with additional money vesting year-by-year,” Pelissero shared on X. “He’s signed through 2027, when he’ll be 38.”

The Chiefs officially confirmed Kelce’s two-year contract extension, lauding him as “the greatest tight end ever.” Kelce himself celebrated the news on social media, donning a KC hat and expressing his excitement for the upcoming seasons.

His teammate, Patrick Mahomes, also joined in on the congratulations, emphasizing his commitment to keeping Kelce with the Chiefs.

Kelce’s latest contract milestone follows his girlfriend Taylor Swift’s recent achievement of billionaire status. Swift’s groundbreaking Eras Tour, which surpassed $1 billion in revenue, along with her music catalog and real estate ventures, propelled her to billionaire status, as reported by Forbes on April 2.

Kelce’s contract extension marks another milestone in his impressive career, which has seen him spend 11 seasons with the Chiefs since 2013.
