New York Giants Eye Former 1st-Round Titan Receiver to Boost Daniel Jones Intriguing Trade Proposal Unveiled”

The New York Giants are keen on maximizing Daniel Jones’ potential following his hefty offseason extension. Adding to their arsenal, the Giants secured electric wide receiver Malik Nabers in the 2024 NFL Draft. Now, a fresh trade proposition, courtesy of Alex Ballentine of Bleacher Report, aims to bolster Jones’ options even further.

With Nabers joining Darius Slayton, Wan’Dale Robinson, and Allen Robinson in the receiving corps, the Giants appear to have a solid lineup. However, uncertainty looms over tight end Darren Waller’s potential retirement before the season kick-off, compounded by the departure of explosive running back Saquon Barkley in free agency.

Ballentine suggests the Giants explore a trade with the Tennessee Titans for former first-round selection Treylon Burks. In Tennessee, Burks faces reduced demand following the addition of Calvin Ridley and Tyler Boyd to complement DeAndre Hopkins:

“Transitioning to a team like the New York Giants, still refining their receiving options, could prove beneficial. While the shift from Levis to Daniel Jones might seem like a downgrade, the Giants are grappling with numerous uncertainties at wide receiver.

Rookie Malik Nabers seems poised as their top receiver, while Darius Slayton, currently absent from OTAs due to contract negotiations, fills the secondary role. The Giants are banking on several young prospects to make an impact this season. Burks’ addition would introduce another dimension, given his 6’2″, 225-pound frame—significantly larger than current options like Wan’Dale Robinson (5’8″, 185) and Jalin Hyatt (6’0″, 185).

While Burks would face competition for snaps and targets, the scenario appears less intense in New York.

“A Day 3 pick would be a modest offering for a player with considerable potential. The Titans would receive fair compensation for a player yet to fully flourish.

Burks could find more playing time in New York, offering Jones an additional skilled target. Burks’ standout rookie season in 2022 saw him amass 33 receptions for 665 yards and one touchdown. Nonetheless, it’s crucial to note the Titans’ challenging quarterback situation during his tenure.

Granted, the Giants’ current quarterback roster might not represent a significant upgrade for Burks over his Titans experience.”
