Aaron Rodgers is surprisingly activated by the New York Jets; will he play?

When the New York Jets play the Washington Commanders on Sunday, which quarterback will get the start? Zach Wilson is still under the protocol for concussions. Even though he started two games for the team this season, Tim Boyle is no longer on the roster. On Tuesday, he became a member of the Houston practice squad.

Aaron Rodgers, the four-time MVP, was unexpectedly added to the active roster on Wednesday for the first time since he sustained an Achilles injury on September 11. However, that does not imply that Rodgers will start at quarterback for the Jets in Week 16 or any other week of the current campaign.

Robert Saleh rather stated that Rodgers is merely being activated in order for him to carry on working out with his teammates and develop connection with his receivers in preparation for the upcoming campaign. Put another way, Rodgers will not, under any circumstances, play for the Jets on the field this season.
