The Seattle Seahawks made several roster changes ahead of their Week 4 game against the Detroit Lions, highlighted by the signing of former Super Bowl champion cornerback Tyler Hall. Hall was part of the 2021 Los Angeles Rams team and played in four games that season.
Additionally, the Seahawks signed defensive tackle Matt Gotel, as both Leonard Williams and Byron Murphy II are currently dealing with injuries. Gotel is a familiar face, having spent last season on Seattle’s practice squad. He had a strong training camp with the team but was sidelined by an injury.
Hall contributed in 11 games (including three starts) for the Las Vegas Raiders in 2023. To accommodate these new signings, the Seahawks released former second-round pick Marquise Blair once again.
Blair has had a tough week, initially being released before Week 3 and then re-signing to the practice squad, only to be cut for the second time in less than a week.

Seattle also created an additional roster spot by placing running back George Holani on injured reserve. The team is facing challenges in the backfield, particularly with star playmaker Ken Walker also sidelined due to an abdominal injury.
Injuries to key players like Leonard Williams and Byron Murphy II are worth monitoring closely. Williams left the team’s victory over the Miami Dolphins in Week 3 and did not return, raising concerns about the severity of his condition. In addition, the Seahawks are reportedly interested in nine-time Pro Bowl offensive lineman Jason Peters, who visited the team on September 24. Peters played eight games for Seattle last season. This development raises concerns about the status of starting right tackle Abe Lucas, who has yet to play this season and only appeared in six games last year.
