Eagles Linked to Trade for Buffalo’s Von Miller
CBS Sports suggested that the Eagles explore a trade for veteran pass-rusher Von Miller of the Buffalo Bills ahead of the NFL trade deadline. Although Miller is currently serving a suspension for violating the league’s substance-abuse policy, he would be eligible to return in Week 8, potentially giving the Eagles a much-needed boost on defense.
“The Eagles probably shouldn’t be in the business of adding aging defenders,” CBS Sports noted. “But they badly need a pass rush, and Miller, though suspended until Week 8, was a Pro Bowler under Vic Fangio in Denver.”
Miller, 35, has shown he still has plenty left in the tank. Before his suspension, he played four games for Buffalo, recording five tackles and three sacks. His experience and ability to disrupt the pocket would add another dimension to Philadelphia’s defensive front.
Why Miller Makes Sense for the Eagles
While Miller is in the twilight of his career, his championship pedigree and ability to perform in high-pressure situations make him an attractive trade target.
