The Green Bay Packers have established a reputation for making bold moves, shaking up their roster in recent years. They traded away Aaron Rodgers and Davante Adams in consecutive offseasons, and the following year, they made a significant shift by releasing Aaron Jones and signing Josh Jacobs in the same day.
Now, as the Packers look to improve their chances in 2025 following a disappointing playoff showing in 2024, they could be gearing up for an even bigger trade.
One area of focus is their pass rush, where the team lacks a dominant edge rusher despite ranking eighth in sacks last season. To remedy this, Tyler Brooke of The 33rd Team recently suggested the Packers could pursue Maxx Crosby, a star defensive end from the Las Vegas Raiders. Crosby, who had an impressive 2024 season, could be a game-changer for Green Bay’s defense.
Brooke noted that while acquiring Crosby would require a hefty investment, his impact on the Packers could be immediate. With 54 pressures and 7.5 sacks in just 12 games this past season, Crosby would bolster a pass rush that ranked just 26th in pass rush win rate. If Crosby seeks to join a contender, Green Bay could be the ideal destination.
