After being knocked out by the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFL Divisional Round, the Los Angeles Rams are shifting focus to the offseason. The team faces several key decisions regarding players set to hit free agency, including Alaric Jackson, Joe Noteboom, and Demarcus Robinson.
Robinson is coming off a career-best season, where he stepped up as the Rams’ No. 3 wide receiver. He played a larger role during stretches when Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua were injured. The wide receiver expressed his desire to return to Los Angeles, praising the organization and coaching staff in a statement to Greg Beacham of The Associated Press:
“I love the organization, love my coaches. Whatever I have to do to try to be here in the same system, because I think it fits well for me,” Robinson said.
In 2024, Robinson started all 17 games for the Rams, tallying 31 catches for 505 yards and seven touchdowns, leading the team in receiving scores. His 16.3 yards per reception marked a career high. The 30-year-old initially joined the Rams in 2023 after short stints with the Las Vegas Raiders and Baltimore Ravens.
Previously drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs in the fourth round of the 2016 NFL Draft, Robinson spent six seasons with the Chiefs, recording 14 touchdowns across 97 games (42 starts).
Should Robinson return to the Rams, he would provide valuable depth at receiver behind Nacua, while Kupp’s future with the team remains uncertain. Additionally, Tutu Atwell is set to hit free agency.
In other news, the Rams will hold the 26th overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, marking the fourth time in franchise history they’ve selected in this spot. They are set to make seven picks in total, hoping to continue building on their success following the addition of defensive prospects Jared Verse and Braden Fiske in 2024.
