reportedly faces significant jail time following his third DWI incident. Further details have emerged regarding the incident, revealing that Mahomes Sr. was found with an open 16-ounce Coors beer while driving, leading to his arrest for DWI.

This marks his third such offense, with previous citations in 2008 and 2019. In Texas, a third DWI conviction carries a potential penalty of up to 10 years in prison and a $10,000 fine.

During the arrest, Mahomes Sr. exhibited signs of intoxication during field sobriety tests, leading the arresting officer to conclude that he was impaired while operating a vehicle.

Despite being released on bond, Mahomes Sr. faces strict conditions, including abstaining from alcohol and drugs and undergoing random testing, as well as installing an interlocking device on his vehicle.

When questioned about his father’s situation during media engagements leading up to the Super Bowl, Patrick Mahomes offered a brief response, stating it’s a family matter and declining further comment.

However, he reassured reporters that his father is “doing good.” Despite the circumstances, Mahomes Sr. is reportedly not prohibited from traveling to Las Vegas to support his son in the championship game, as no travel ban has been imposed as part of his bond conditions.
