Green Bay Packers: Insider Analyst Leaks Unexpected Information That Could Pose a Threat…

The Green Bay Packers are set to utilize the 2024 off-season to refine their offense and revamp their defense, particularly focusing on the secondary.

While the offense has shown promising potential during the latter part of the 2023 season, the defense is anticipated to undergo significant alterations. In an unexpected development, an internal analyst has hinted at two potential targets the Packers are likely considering for their defensive upgrades.

I’ve been informed that the release of Jamal Adams is a standard one, not a post-June 1 designation. This implies that the Seattle Seahawks will absorb all the dead money associated with his contract in 2024. Additionally, the Seahawks are also parting ways with Quandre Diggs and Will Dissly, according to reports from Tom Pelissero.

Upon observing the releases of both Jamal Adams and Quandre Diggs, Packers reporter Rob Demovsky made an intriguing comment, suggesting that the Packers might pursue Diggs, especially considering their apparent need at safety, particularly with Darnell Savage potentially entering free agency.

As anticipated, the Seahawks have officially released Jamal Adams, who was slated to earn $16.5 million in 2024 and carry a hefty $26.9 million cap hit.

This decision was driven by the significant financial commitment for a player who has faced injury challenges over the past two seasons and has not made substantial contributions to the team. Adams’ departure marks the conclusion of a disappointing chapter following one of the most prominent trades in Seahawks history.

Quandre Diggs carried a salary of $10.4 million for the 2024 season, with a corresponding cap hit of $21.2 million. In 2023, Diggs showcased his value by starting all 17 games, amassing 95 tackles, and securing one interception. Throughout his tenure with the Seahawks, Diggs accumulated a notable total of 18 interceptions and earned three consecutive Pro Bowl selections from 2020 to 2022.

These veteran options present significant opportunities for the Packers in free agency, addressing one of their most critical positions of need. The importance of the safety position in the defensive scheme implemented by new defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley cannot be overstated.

Thus, pursuing players like Diggs may prove essential for the Packers’ defensive success in the inaugural year under Hafley’s leadership.
